Is there any way I can access my email folders after I have switched suppliers?

I am currently using a BT email address, until the 27th of Feb 09, when it will be disconnected and I will be moving to an Eastern European country, and consequently be using a different supplier. Does anyone know if there is anyway that I will still be able to open or access my current email folders that contain a great deal of information, will need to make use of once I am up and running. Any info will be gratefully received

My understanding is that once you close the BT service, the email will be gone as well, and you will lose all that information. You might need to find a way of transferring that data to another account that WILL be accessible to you, or saving it somehow prior to then.
