How do I transfer my email folders and contacts to my new computer?
You are in the wrong category for Outlook but this should work.

You didn't state which version of Outlook you are using, this is for Microsoft Outlook庐 2000.

You're excited about the new computer your company just delivered to your office. And now you're asking yourself, "Is there an easy way to have Outlook work on my new computer just as it does on my old computer?" You bet! The steps required to copy your customizations, such as shortcuts or toolbar customizations, to another computer depend on your e-mail configuration. After you determine that, you're off and running to move your Outlook 2000 customizations to your new computer.

Determine your e-mail configuration

* On the Help menu, click About Microsoft Outlook. You'll see Internet Mail Only if you have this configuration, or Corporate or Workgroup if you have that configuration.

Then, follow the procedures to Move Corporate or Workgroup Configuration customizations or Move Internet Mail Only configuration Customizations. http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/outloo...

Installing Outlook and duplicating custom settings

First, you must install Outlook 2000 on your new computer, but do not start the program.

To duplicate your custom settings on your new computer, you'll need to copy your default personal folders file (.pst) and any of the following that you've customized: shortcuts, toolbar or menu customizations, rules, nicknames, signatures, stationery, and custom categories.

Note For detailed information about any of the steps below, type the step text in the Office Assistant or on the Answer Wizard tab in the Outlook Help window, and then click Search. Complete article here: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/outloo...

Searching the Internet, i.e. Google, Yahoo, will give you helpful and valuable information, start your research here: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en%26amp;sa=X%26amp;...

Make it a great day!
Reply:You can try a back up copy of all your info (export) then open your new stuff and import everything in. You can do this many different ways.
Reply:Create a new folder for the contacts you want to export.

On the File menu, point to New, and then click Folder.

Type a name for the folder.

In the Folder contains list, click Appointment Items.

In the Select where to place the folder list, click Calendar, and then click OK.

On the Outlook Bar, click Contacts, or click another private or public contacts folder that you want to copy information from.

To copy the contacts, press and hold down CTRL and drag the contacts you want from the Contacts folder you just clicked to the new contacts folder you just created.

On the File menu, click Import and Export to export the new contacts folder.

Click Export to a file, and then click Next.

In the list, click the file type you want to export to and then click Next.

Follow the instructions in the Import and Export Wizard.

Reply:gooblygook talk to a very old surfer, less tec and plain talk like just what clicks and when and where would be helpful. we are not all up to date!
Reply:If you are talking about folders in your email all you have to do is get into your email from your labtop. If you are talking a bout folders saved to your computer just take out the floppy disk and put it in your labtop. Your computer might be to old compared to your labtop so might not be able to. Good luck.
Reply:Just go to your email address and open your account.
