How do you get rid of a unwanted folder on your email on yahoo mail?

If it's a default folder [you didn't set it up; it was there when you got your email] then you cannot delete it.

If it's a created folder, here's how you do it ...

***In Yahoo! Mail Beta***

1. Select the created folder you want to delete by left-clicking on it.

2. Right-click on the highlighted folder name, and select "Delete" to get rid of that folder.

***In the original Yahoo! Mail***

1. From the left sidebar/column, just to the right of "Folders", click on the "Edit" link.

2. At the Folders [management] page, click on the "Delete" link to the right of the created folder that you want to get rid of.

Reply:When you want to delete an unwanted folder, the first thing you have to do is make sure the folder is empty. So delete all the emails in it and then go to check mail. At the top of the list of folders where it says "Folders" select the word "edit". Go into the list of folders and next to the folder you want to delete, select "delete."
Reply:"yok" is right. You can delete only the folders YOU created. Firstly, be sure the folder is empty before you delete it. In the original version of Y.Mail, click Edit at the top of the folder list. In the next window, click Delete beside the folder you want to remove. In Beta version, simply right-click on the folder you want to remove, then select Delete.
