How do I eliminate email folders in yahoo mail that I no longer need?

I created folders for projects but now that projects are done, I'd like to remove those folders so I have fewer folders in the email folder list.

next to inbox link in the left menu is a folder link with add and edit. click on edit and on the next page click delete just below each folder you don't want anymore. you won't die from reading the help page
Reply:Right click on the folder you want to delete, then select "DELETE" from the drop down menu.

Reply:OPEN THE MAIL LIKE UR GOING TO SEND AN EMAIL GO UNDER TOOLS OR FILE. THEN U CAN SELECT TO CHANGE IT TO UR DEFAULT EMAIL. OR RIGHT CLICK ON THE ICON AND SELECT PROPERTIES AND CHANGE IT THEN. HOPE THIS WORKS FOR U, GOOD LUCK!

Zip the folder into a zip file or some other type of compressed file. This will allow the recipient to extract the entire folder from the single zip file. If you use Windows XP, you can create a zip file out of a folder by right-clicking on the folder, choose Send To and then Compressed (zipped) folder. Then send the zip file (which will look like a folder with a zipper on it) to your recipient and they will have the folder and all files inside. Plus it is a lot smaller and quicker to send than your folder would be.





(You only need Winzip if you don't use Windows XP, but it's still a good program anyhow.)
Reply:just hit attach and DONT DOUBLE CLICK but click only once so that it is highlighted and then click ok. Depends on the emailing program you use but this should work

eg http://www.winzip.com and then inside the program it has make a exe. so when soembody opens it, it will extact the folders and files within.
Reply:Probably the best way is to put the contents of the folder (all the files) into a compressed archive file, and then attach that archive to the E-mail.

One temporary solution is this (at least, for me): switch to yahoo classic. This particular problem seems to be happening only in the "new %26amp; improved" version of yahoo mail.
